WebDec 4, 2006 · I need to fix 4' fence posts to the top of an existing 9" brick wall. I know of two options: (1) fix metpost bolt down brackets to top of wall and (2) bolt support timbers to front/back of wall and fix fence post to these. Neither option is aesthetically great. Does anyone have any ingenius ideas? WebOct 15, 2024 · However Id still prefer to mechanically fix it to the wall with a couple of anchors instead of glue. Makes removing/alterations and adjusting it in the future easier. Id recommend considering the adjustability; i dont think ive seen a gate or fence that hasnt settled/movement out of alignment with the wall/lock side.
