Drill a hole all the way through the forend then counter sink a larger hole from the top to contain the round nut. The screw that looks like a wood screw is for the stock.

Webb21 feb. 2024 · The product that broke was the sling stud which is most likely an Uncle Mike's product. The stock itself is unbroken, just chipped a bit around the stud hole. H-S screws the stud into part of the aluminum rib that runs nearly the entire length of the stock. Breaking the stud shows how strong the rib is.
