You should be able to replace it with a standard stud. If the mounting hole is bigger, glue the new one in with accraglass or the like. Coat the screw with wax so you can get it out later. Drill a hole all the way through the forend then counter sink a larger hole from the top to contain the round nut. The screw that looks like a wood screw is for the stock.
Webb21 feb. 2024 · The product that broke was the sling stud which is most likely an Uncle Mike's product. The stock itself is unbroken, just chipped a bit around the stud hole. H-S screws the stud into part of the aluminum rib that runs nearly the entire length of the stock. Breaking the stud shows how strong the rib is.
